We are sorry to hear of the family’s loss of Ane-Lise. Occasionally someone from here in Canada would visit Norway – like my parents did in 1971 – and come back with stories of this gracious person. Even though she was far away we felt good to know we were related to her.
Ane-Lise is especially important to me because of the care she gave to the letters her grandfather John wrote to her father Lars when he was in North America. Those letters have given us Canadian Krogseth-descendants the chance to understand our origins. This is a great gift to the children of immigrants.
I can’t help but see that Ane-Lise died at the same age as my own mother Betsy and my grandfather, Andrew Krogseth. They all had good long lives and left us with good memories of lives well lived.
