I met Arthur online on 27 February 2012, on one of the lowest days of my life. I lost my work and my side income; I was about to get divorced. I was so desperate that I wrote a letter in one of the biggest forums for internet marketing in the hope that I would get some business suggestions.
I got a message from a mysterious member with a user name Sofus. Many of you knew someone with the name Sofus. It was a name of a great dog, and the person behind the username was my angel - Arthur Taubo. It brings tears to my eyes while I am typing my memories.
That evening, we spoke about my situation, life, work, and thoughts. It was kind of unreal, as I still did not know who is Arthur and why he was asking me all those questions. I was living in Johannesburg, South Africa, at the time. I started to do some small tasks for Arthur, and my burden was a little bit lighter, both spiritually and financially. Even then, life was tough for me; suddenly, I felt useful again and could do some work for the change. My confidence was growing.
The year 2013.
I had lost my second wife, car, and house. I trusted Arthur that it would be best for me to move to Cape Town, South Africa, 1500Km away from Johannesburg, right in the most southern part of the African continent.
I was now alone in a new place, did not know anybody, and crying constantly. The only connection with sanity was Arthur, now over 14000 Km away, who held my hand and made me calm; he wiped my tears and made me believe everything would be fine.
Arthur and I were busy with many projects here and there, and following year 2014, in April, if I am not mistaken, I joined the Bergersen family full time. I have learned a lot; Arthur coached me in many different skills.
Everything was going well; unfortunately, merely four years later, Arthur started to feel ill. After some operations and treatment, we were happy again, as the remission period was finally there.
After 16 years, I decided to visit my home town Belgrade, which is now in Serbia (originally Yugoslavia). The most precious thing that happened to me during that 2019 visit to Belgrade was meeting Arthur in person for the first time. We spent a few wonderful days together, walking around my city, showing all the beautiful places, and eating the most delicious food and lots of ice cream. Those couple of days were the best thing happening to me after the birth of my daughter. I will never forget those days.
I was hoping we could see each other again, in maybe two or three years, but sadly he had to leave us all. Even though we were all ready for every event, that news hit me as someone stabbed me in my heart. A better part of my being was gone. My friend, my colleague, my guide was taken from me too early. It is a huge loss for Taubo family, Bergersen clients, Asker, Norway, and me.
I will forever hold Arthur in my heart and always remember him with a smile, at least I hope, but I cannot stop crying for now.
Since corona started, I was once again on the brink of bankruptcy; I would like to thank Arthur, once again, for his big heart and kind gesture to receive a part of the flower proceeds to help me in this moment of desperation.
Thank you all, friends of Jesus! May God Bless you until we all meet here or later with our Beloved Arthur Taubo, May God Bless his soul!
With all my love and respect,
Srdjan Repensek
