This message is for Frida and her family. It comes from Denise who knew you and loved her very dearly, as an attempt to farewell Frida and to celebrate her amazing life and to comfort those who mourn the loss of a sister in law, aunt, great aunt and great great aunt and dear friend.
I knew Frida even before I met her, she was talked about by my Granny Ruby Laura in South Africa, who was her first cousin, then by my mother Edna who corresponded with her each Christmas and then I took over the mantle. Our families connection have been across the years and across the seas. I was the fortunate one that visited Norway and was able to form a wonderful relationship with Tante Frida. i was lucky to spend a short time with Frida on my last visit just before her hundreth birthday. On that day she was knitting for Hans Emil, but told me she was tired and missed all her friends that had passed on.
I will miss Frida's xmas message and gift this year but will treasure the memories they bring.

The Frida I knew well from my visits to Norway was kind, compassionate, highly intelligent and always very elegant and ageless.
But most of all the thingsI admired about her were her unconditional love of family. This was shown by all the photos she surrounded herself with. she loved nothing better than telling stories about each photo.
She was surrounded by the love of her family and she never took it for granted, she gave back as much love as she recceived.
But most of all she had a love
